Next to textlinks, advertisers can also supply rich-media advertisements. When Google detects a page is loaded on a mobile device, it then serves these ads, that then will take the visitor to the advertiser’s mobile site. Just like AdSense, relevancy of the advertisements will be measured by the presence of keywords in the content of the sites. What separates a Mobile Ad from an ordinary AdSense ad, is that the ad must be linked to a mobile site. Mobile advertising is a new and relatively uncharted domain, that is expected to increase in importance for years to come. Mobile nowadays have complete web browsing capabilities and connection speeds and bandwidth are rapidly improving and becoming cheaper. The mobile networks are becoming the new internet, and as the industry leader, it’s hardly surprisable Google makes this move onto mobile terrain. Video advertisements aren’t expected to arrive soon though. Banners and
text ads will dominate the mobile ad market for years before video will be an
affordable ad format on mobile networks. In each case, companies need to start
thinking about creating a mobile site next to their regular website. Too many
people or looking for information on mobile devices not to. Only registered users can write comments. Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
