Affiliate Summit is a conference and networking event on Affiliate Marketing similar to Adtech. Topics traditionally are buying and optimizing for search engines, result driven online advertising and Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Summit is finding a second breath. Before the internet crisis of ’99, it was mainly Referit who organised Affiliate Marketing conferences, but attention to it dwindled. After a couple of silent years interest in Affiliate Marketing is picking up again. What’s the most important difference to last year ? More Niche NetworksThis year saw the breakthrough of specialised networks. Next to Cj.com and Linkshare.com there now exist networks who have an entirely particular focus. In the US a lot of energy is invested in attracting and pro-actively dealing with Affiliates, and new networks continue to sprout. Onenetwerkdirect, Adknowledge, Shareasale and Azoogle are just a few of the recent joiners. Even though affiliate Marketing is already eight years in the making, new parties continue to emerge. ( and more Google)Unlike previous years, Google was present this time. As they make 50 % of their money from Affiliate Marketing, their presence is considered long overdue. With a demonstration of the new Google CPA model, it is clear the future of Google will be colored more action and less click.
