Frame-Based websites are a thing of the past! They made bookmarking nearly impossible for the novice user, and complicated site navigation to the point where sites were losing traffic. All of this – and printing was not even to be considered. HOWEVER, frames are useful when you are participating in affiliate site marketing. How it works is that users click on an affiliate link that has been placed into a frame, and the target page actually loads into another frame on your site instead of driving the traffic away completely. This is particularly useful when you participate in Google’s AdWords, or Yahoo’s Overture Pay Per Click services. Rather than needing to include an additional landing page (people need to click again), you can eliminate a step for your site visitors to get to directly to your affiliate link. This means you can increase your commission because the search engine listing will go straight to your affiliate link when users link to your site or when you promote the page in PPC Search Engines. In order to set this up on your site, click and drag the text below and hit either Control+C or Apple+C to copy. Open a new text file (Word Pad), and choose Control+V or Apple+V to paste the code into the page code of your web site. <iframe xsrc="http://www.youraffiliatesite.com/" width=100% scrolling=auto framespacing=0 marginwidth=0 marginheight=0 height=800 border=0></iframe> Just replace http://www.youraffiliatesite.com/ with your affiliate link, and adjust the height and width parameters to suit your site. Note that some affiliate programs do not allow this kind of techniques so make sure that you check before using the <iframe> option. |
