Don't just sell your own PDF Print E-mail

You are a company that sells products or services, and you sell them through your own or a third party affiliate program. Should you consider selling products or services as an affiliate from other companies to your own customers ? Absolutely !

The most important people to a company are it’s customers. It is far more important to maintain an existing customer than to try to find a new one. A customer that has bought at your store, is likely to buy again. A repeat customer is even more valuable. This person has made clear he actually likes buying from you. Having a list of repeat customers is one thing, using it is another.

First you should try to sell your own product of course, for the simple reason the profits are all yours. But there also exists an opportunity to sell your customer more, once they bought your stuff. If you don’t have another product to offer, consider trying to sell someone else’s.

Some other company’s product might be completely compatible with your own. If the quality of the product is up to your standards, if it answers to your customers possible needs, and if the product doesn’t run the risk of ruining your reputation, trying to sell them as a package is only logical. And if you won’t, your competitor probably will. Just don’t be the last to ask.

Modern affiliate marketing techniques allows joint selling and causes companies to cooperate more and more. Instead of just focussing solely on your own products, take a look around to see what other companies have to offer. It also works the other way around : if you spot a company that sells something you think your product would nicely fit next to, propose to them to make an extra buck by offering your products to their customers as well. Like this companies can profit from each other’s success.
