If your site doesn’t score too well in the organic search engine results, there’s always the option to choose for paying for your position in the sponsored links. Here are some tips that will help you make your PPC ads as relevant as possible, and hopefully even more relevant than an organic result.

1. Write relevant ads for every search query

Instead of aiming for a broad public, your ads should on the contrary be as specific as possible. When people search for something, and your ad decribes almost to the word what they were looking for, your ad will get chosen.

2. Make relevant landing pages for different searches

Search engines now also take into account how relevant the page behind the link is, to describe the relevancy of the link to a search query. A keyword optimised landing page helps getting your link ranked higher for different keywords.

3. Get relevant domain names

Get relevant brand or domain names for each set of searchwords. Make people confident clicking on your domain is a logic choice.

4. Define exactly for yourself what you have to offer

Don’t pay for clicks from people who want something you don’t really have. This is another good reason to be as precise as possible in your ads. If your ads are vague, your clicks will come from anywhere.

5. Rehash your existing keyword phrases

After defining which keywords and phrases actually work, it’s time to make new combinations that then will probably work as well. Save yourself time, and let software do this for you.
