Know your competitors websiteIdentify the websites that offer similar content as your own. Find out which campaigns they are promoting, and see if you can't specialise even more: promoting a very specific program rather than taking up more general offers works better next to specialised content. Know your own websiteHow many visitors does your site have ? How are they reacting to you campaigns ? What's your average click through rate ? What's your average conversion ratio ? Knowing what works is a learning process, but is essential to increase your site's efficiency. Use product feedsHaving a single banner or having pages full of separate offers makes a difference. People visiting your website experience all these offers as extra content on your website, and boosts conversion ratio's. Use deeplinksDon't use links to a general page on the advertiser's website, but use deep links to the actual webpage of the offer you're promoting. If you deliver your visitor to the front gate of the offer, chances are much bigger he or she will actually make use of it. Make sure your advertisers or affiliate networks treat you rightYou are the most important asset to an affiliate network or an advertiser promoting his products online. You are the one who shows the offers to the people visiting your site or reading your e-mails. If you feel you should be rewarded more for your efforts, this should be discussable with your advertiser or network. You should be treated as a full grown business partner. |
